The Latest

The Chiefs will spend this week practicing at their facility, installing their full game plan before traveling to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX

While in New Orleans, the team will practice at Tulane University, where the Chiefs won their first Super Bowl (Super Bowl IV).

The Chiefs will hold a press conference on Thursday afternoon this week. The next time coaches and players will be available to the media is Monday night in New Orleans to kick off Super Bowl week.

The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX (59) in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII (57).

In Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs defeated the Eagles, 38-35 in Glendale, Arizona.

The Chiefs trailed 24-14 at halftime of that game and battled back to win on a 27-yard Harrison Butker FG with eight seconds left in the game. The Chiefs outscored the Eagles 17-8 in the fourth quarter of the game.

This will be the Eagles’ second Super Bowl appearance in four seasons under head coach Nick Sirianni, and the franchise’s third appearance in the last eight seasons.

The Chiefs are 2-1 against the Eagles since Sirianni took over as the head coach in 2021.

Over the next week, we’ll take a closer look at this Eagles team and their strengths and weaknesses heading into the big game.

Luke’s Take

I fall into the “7️⃣ Somewhat confident” crowd.

The Eagles are really good, but I won’t ever bet against Mahomes.

This game will likely come down to the Chiefs’ ability to slow down Eagles RB Saquon Barkley and put QB Jalen Hurts under pressure to force mistakes.

I expect another thriller of a Super Bowl, and I’m betting on Mahomes to step up when the moment requires it.
