• On Pacheco and Omenihu: They are unlikely to play this week.

• On Wanya Morris: “He tweaks it every now and then and that’s what happens.”

• On JuJu Smith-Schuster: “There’s a good chance he’s back [this week]. If it’s up to him, he’s back.”

• On LT in the NFL: “You’ve got good players on the other side that play against that LT. When you’re young, there’s going to be some hiccups when you’re out there… Every week [Wanya] has gotten a little bit better.”

• On DeAndre Hopkins’ impact: “He’s always been a great player and this offense gives him opportunity… and the QB trusts him… That’s been him, tough catch, contested ball, lands on it, then gets up and wants more. He’s great with contested balls… If you get it in that radius, pretty sure he’s going to catch that son of a gun.”

• On Leo Chenal: “Toub banks on him to be a core guy for him. Spags banks on him to be a guy for him where he can move around… He’s a valuable guy. Doesn’t say much, but does a lot.”

Patrick Mahomes

• On the burglary at his home: “Obviously it’s frustrating and disappointing. I can’t get into too many of the details because the details are still ongoing.”

• On improving: “I learned a lot about myself last year… I kind of found ways to win… It’s not about stats, it’s just about getting it done. If we’re finding ways to win this year, and I’m not putting up stats, I’m a lot happier when I get home.”

• On the LT situation: “I believe in those guys. I believe in all my teammates… There are times I need to get rid of the football. It’s about coming together as a team and executing every single time.”

• On playing Allen and the Bills: “You’re playing the best… Every single game comes down to the very end… We know it’s going to take our best football.”

• On the Bills’ defense: “It’s the staple of a good defense, they rush the passer, stop the run, and turn the ball over.”

• On DeAndre Hopkins: “He gets in the room, and he’s a leader from day 1… He can go 1-on-1 with the best of the best and win… It was definitely a pleasant surprise for me seeing him on the football field.”

Kareem Hunt

• On working with Pacheco: “I think that’s great… I think it’s going to be a heck of a 1-2 punch… I’m used to working with other great backs.”

• On catching the ball last week: “Getting the ball out in space makes my job a little easier.”

• On ways the team is winning: “I love the way we're battling together and finding ways to win.”

DeAndre Hopkins

• On playing the Bills: “Good defense, good players over there… Gotta come out with our A game.”

• On what he’s learned about Mahomes: “Everything I heard about him has been true and how great he is as a player and a person.”

• On helping younger players: “They’ve definitely been asking me a lot of questions about football and life. Just use the opportunity to be an older brother.”
