Missouri Governor Responds
Missouri Governor Mike Parson spoke about Missouri’s plan to retain the Chiefs and Royals.
This comes on the heels of the state of Kansas approving a plan that could finance up to 70% of the cost of stadiums for two professional sports teams using STAR bonds.
Governor Parson said:
"We're going to make sure that we put the best business deal we can on the line. Look, I can't blame Kansas for trying. You know, if I was probably sitting there, I'd be doing the same thing. But at the end of the day, we're going to be competitive… the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals are big business. [A deal] has to work out on paper, where it's going to be beneficial to the taxpayers of Missouri. I think by the end of this year, we're going to have [a proposal for the stadiums] in place.”

The Calm Before the Storm
We’re in the calmest part of the NFL calendar currently.
This is the time of the year—after minicamp ends and before training camp begins—when players and coaches take time off.
Rookies report for training camp on Tuesday, July 16th, followed by veterans on Saturday, July 20th. The team’s first full practice is on Sunday, July 21st.
Training Camp Information
The Chiefs will return to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri for training camp for the 14th consecutive year.
Open practices begin on Sunday, July 21st, and conclude on Thursday, August 15th.
Practices are free of charge and open to the public, except for seven dates. All attendees must have a digital ticket, even on the free days.
Ticket reservations are open.
Missouri Western will charge $5 for parking per vehicle per day, except for the two exclusive Season Ticket Member days when parking is free.
Parking must be purchased before arrival and is mobile entry only.
