Hollywood Brown

• He and Patrick Mahomes are continuing to build chemistry and trust, going back to their first days of training in Dallas

• What makes this organization special: “Everyone has the same goal, same mission. We help each other out there.”

Chris Jones

• On his motivation this season: “The whole team is motivated for the 3-peat… We have the pieces to do it… it’s about applying it every day, challenging every day”

• On Clark Hunt getting an F+ owner grade: “I’ve got double birds for everyone who gave my owner an F+ man".”

• On Kelce’s retirement rumors: “I don’t even think about it man… Trav has got like 4 or 5 more years… If we retire we gotta retire together, give me at least like 6 more years.”

Justin Watson

• On who the fastest WR is on the team: “The last two years it used to be up for debate on who was the fastest [wide receiver], but I’m gonna defer to those two [Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy], those guys can absolutely fly.”

• On being a veteran in the WR room: “We learned a lot from last year… it’s been cool to see us have what we had last year, and then add in a Veteran like Hollywood Brown to add some things onto that.”

Andy Reid

• The message after minicamp and OTA’s: “Make sure you come back ready to go.”

• On the offensive focus: “This is the time to find out what to get away with in the passing game… there’s going to be interceptions, but as you go throughout training camp you continue to refine it.”

• On the LT battle: “They’ve both done a nice job, really like the production we’ve seen from both of them… we’re going to play the 5 best guys and just see how it plays out.”

Patrick Mahomes

• Going for the 3-peat: “It’s nothing to be scared of, but it’s a new season… in order to win you have to get better every single year.”

• On the receiver room: “I think it’s shaping up really well… all these guys really competed and that’s a great thing to have. I’m excited to get [Xavier] Worthy out there more.”

• Mahomes said this is probably the most comfortable he’s felt in an offseason, but going up against Spags keeps him on his toes and still sharpens him.

• Coach Reid is pushing Mahomes to push the ball down the field this year

The Chiefs are officially on a break until training camp starts July 23rd.

There will be no organized team activities during this time, but players will continue to work out and practice on their own to prepare for the season.
