The entire Chiefs team and coaching staff were available to the media, and we have the highlights below.

Andy Reid

• On being in Vegas: "We appreciate the hospitality from the Raiders and Raiders fans, because that relationship is not the best, obviously."

• On the journey: "We had some ups and downs throughout the year. It was good to see the young guys step up and finish strong. The growth would be the biggest part of the journey."

• The food he doesn’t like: “I’m up for everything, I just don’t like liver, everything else is free game”

• On the 49ers practice facility: Reid said he wouldn’t comment on it because he hadn’t heard about it and deemed it irrelevant

Patrick Mahomes

• “This is a business trip. I told the guys that if we win I’ll bring everyone back to Vegas to celebrate.”

• Mahomes talked about how lucky he was to be drafted by the Chiefs

• Mahomes did a fantasy football draft with an 11-year-old reporter

• Mahomes was met with boos from 49ers fans and said, “I appreciate it Niners nation, we’re here.”

• Mahomes cracked a joke about his voice sounding like Kermit the Frog

• Mahomes claimed if he played basketball he’d “be just like Steph Curry…”

• Mahomes said he hasn’t been surprised by the success Brock Purdy has had in the NFL after watching him in college

• Mahomes said he “never feels like an underdog”

Travis Kelce

• Kelce said “I want this one more than I’ve ever wanted a Super Bowl in my life”

• On if the Chiefs are a dynasty: “I’ll let you guys figure that out. I’m just gonna try to make it one”

• Kelce welcomed the boos from the 49ers fans and said “Y’all are firing me up, making me want to play right now. I love the boos more than I love the cheers. Keep ‘em coming Niners gang, keep ‘em coming.”

• Kelce deflected a question about who was the best TE in the league by saying that football is a team game

• Kelce said his wrestler name would be “The Big Yeti”

• Kelce praised Taylor Swift for her success at the Grammys and told her he would have to come home with some hardware too

• On retirement: “I can’t imagine not doing this for as long as I can.”

• Clark Hunt talked about when he knew Andy Reid was the right man for the Chiefs

• Kadarius Toney gave a confusing answer about his Instagram live video, said he’s healthy, and said he believes he’s a #1 WR if he gets the ball

• Chris Jones got fired up and let out a loud “In Spags we trust!”

• Chris Jones spoke about the adversity the Chiefs faced on their road to the Super Bowl this season

• Felix Anudike-Uzomah said he’s ready for a bigger role in the Super Bowl

• Steve Spagnuolo noted that Brock Purdy’s scrambling ability will be a challenge for the Chiefs

• QB Brock Purdy had an admirable answer about the spotlight: "Life isn't about you. [It's about] being a part of something bigger than yourself."

• CB Charvarius Ward, former Chief, said “It’s better over here… In every way possible” about being with the 49ers

Commissioner Roger Goodell

• The Eagles will play a 2024 opening weekend game in Brazil

• The 49ers practice field was unanimously approved as playable despite the 49ers thinking it was too soft

• Taylor Swift’s connection to football has been a positive thing for the league
